To date, there have been 13 NFL players that have produced 100-yard rushing games this season, led by LeSean McCoy with two. The other twelve have one each. The Green Bay Packers have two running backs on that list — no other team has more than one and 21 NFL teams have zero 100-yard rushers. (Oakland has two players on the list, but one is quarterback Terrelle Pryor.)
That’s right. Your ground and pound, three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-whoops Green Bay Packers are the only NFL team with a proven backfield deep enough to produce two 100-yard rushers.
For you football purists and “oh, they’re just a finesse team” critics … think about that over the bye weekend. By the way, James Starks and Johnathan Franklin are the Packers’ projected second- and third-string running backs. Starting running back Eddie Lacy is expected back after the bye weekend in week five.
