I’ve heard the whining. There are some 12s that resent criticism of their team. That’s fair. They have a right to their myopic opinions. We all have our own little bubble worlds. But if you cannot take the heat, please get out of the World Wide Web’s kitchen.
I don’t write bedtime stories. I’m not here to make readers happy any more than they are here to make me happy. If we agree, great. If we disagree — even better. Let’s chew on that. It’s football, after all. Debate is invited. Whining and hurt feelings are not.
Football analysis and opinion is not meant to be pain-free — just like football itself. Good writing is hard-hitting and honest, also like football. If you read my articles, published in numerous publications, you may be challenged with opinions that don’t mesh with yours. Personally, that’s what I seek in what I read: subjects that interest me and new information to chew on. We may win, we may lose — OK, I’ll lay off the football metaphors.
But here’s a tonic for the troops: I don’t hate the Seattle Seahawks. And I can prove it, right here on The Hit Job.
